Dr. Bruns is Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering.
He received his B.S.Ch.E. in 1971 from the University of Minnesota and Ph.D. in chemical engineering in 1974 from the University of Houston. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Houston, he joined the faculty at UTK in 1976 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1980. Since 1984, he has been an Associate of the Measurement and Control Engineering Center. Dr. Bruns has supervised 23 students, 4 with the CRG. He is a member of Sigma Xi, American Society of Engineering Educators (ASEE), American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
