K. Dean Edwards

Dr. Edwards is a Research Associate at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Dean received his B.S.A.E. in 1992, and his M.S. in 1994 and Ph.D. in 2000, both with majors in mechanical engineering, all degrees from the University of Tennessee. He has worked with the Chaos Research Group since 1994 on acoustically coupled combustion systems, initially on a Rijke tube and currently on a thermal pulse combustor; presently he assists automotive research at the National Transportation Research Center. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Gamma Tau, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and was certified as an Engineer-in-Training in the State of Tennessee in 1992.
